These changes are now live.

Hey all,

today there have been some minor changes to the Dungeons game mode. Here is the list:
  • Gold cap has been increased to 20,000 starting and 1,000 per extra level.
  • The above change causes daily free gold to increase proportionally as well, so you should expect more free gold!
  • New players now start with 10,000 gold.
  • Fixed a bug that caused /shop battle to be inaccessible for some players.
See you on the servers!
Hey all,

this is just to let you know that I'm aware of the issue of player skins not being displayed correctly on the leaderboards and player profiles.

The cause of the issue is that Mojang have changed the way Minecraft skins are stored. Good thing they let everyone know beforehand in a news post, NOT.

Not only did they not announce it, they also did not provide any information as to how we are now supposed to obtain new skin data.

As everything relating to Minecraft on this website is handmade by me, I'm going to have to investigate this myself. I think I already found the new way they are storing their skins, but rewriting the modules that are responsible for displaying skins on this site is going to be a bit of a pain in my ass to say the least.

It's not a priority right now for me anyway, as I'm currently focusing on the new Mythic Survival update. I'll let you know once it's fixed.
These changes are not live yet. They will be live on March 9th, 2018.

Hey all,

it's about time for another Mythic Survival update! This update is going to introduce a whole new game mechanic & a new way to spend your time to Mythic Survival!

Professions are a new type of content coming to Mythic Survival. Think of them like little side-projects to spend your time on, besides mining & looting chests! They are partly inspired by mcMMO-like mechanics, but don't actually use any of these systems.

Starting March 9th, there will be 3 professions coming to Mythic Survival. You have to do nothing to acquire them, everybody starts with them! However, you may need some special items to start working with them.

New Profession: Archaeology

This profession will require you to use the new uncommon special item Fantastic Digger, which can be looted from mobs & chests. The item itself is a shovel, and can be used to dig (like any other), but also has a special right-click ability, which allows you to find digsites in desert biomes.

Digsites consist of various nodes, which are revealed by right-clicking with the Fantastic Digger in your hand. Upon doing so, you will be directed towards the nearest node. If standing very close to it when using the digger, a glowing effect will appear above one of the near sand blocks, indicating the node's exact location. Once you see the glowing effect, you can dig up the node to receive a special item of random rarity (guaranteed at least uncommon)!

Nodes are not affected by your loot boost, but by your Archaeology profession level (which increases every time you dig up a node). Digsites are per-player and the server remembers where you have successfully dug already, so if you find a node, you'll need to move on to find another.

There are some special items that are exclusive...

Hey all,

over the past couple months, Dungeons has undergone massive changes in terms of balancing, matchmaking, and other tweaks here and there.

Today however, it is a vastly different game mode, but still suffers from one of the problems that presented itself early on in its lifespan. The problem I'm talking about is the massive gold rush that occurred near the end of 2017, caused by the old daily gold bonus system, and heaps of inactive players that continued to pile up mountains of gold while still having the default dungeons.

This lead to a massive surplus in gold availability, and caused Dungeons' economy to get totally out of whack. Today, a new player can join the game mode and instantly max out his/her battle gear within mere hours of gameplay, which is simply not the intended way.

It has become clear to me that this issue had to be tackled somehow, but it is difficult to attempt and reset the entire economy, without inevitably negatively impacting the gameplay of players who do play on Dungeons regularly, and without the shadow of a doubt deserve the gold they have earned so far.

I have come up with the following system to try and bring back the natural progression curve the game was always intended to have. While I tried minimizing the impact this would have on existing players, it surely can't be avoided at all. There are two problems that have to be solved: 1. The massive supply of gold, and 2. The value of gold as it is.

Gold Cap

When trying to tackle the massive supply of gold, I came up with three solutions.
  • 1. Reset everyone's gold back to the starting amount (1,000)
  • 2. Make it so that attacks no longer award gold. (only way to acquire gold is through the daily attack bonus)
  • 3. Implement a gold cap.
A gold cap will cut back on the gold that is currently in supply, but will still make sure that players who already looted...
The day has finally come.

This season has been going on forever due to my inability to perform a proper honor reset.

Well, that's over now! I have just given all the top 50 players 1,000 FREE credits for their performance, and reset everyone's honor, FINALLY!

For the coming seasons, I will write an automated script that will run once a month and perform the honor reset automatically, so I am no longer a factor in it.

Due to the new premium systems, the new leaderboard rewards will be as follows:

Top 1: 1,500 Credits
Top 2: 1,000 Credits
Top 3: 500 Credits

Feels good to finally have something accomplished at the end of a long day. Now excuse me, while I go collapse in a corner :)
Hey all,

the tedious restructure of the server backend is now finished. It might still be a bit wonky here and there, but overall you should notice an improvement in server stability and performance!

If you notice any bugs, don't hesitate to report them via the support tickets.

I will now get to do the honor reset, FINALLY!

Have fun on HCMCPVP!
Hey all,

the emergency server maintenance is now complete. Apologies for the duration!

Something went wrong server side and caused the servers to crash repeatedly, but the issue should be resolved now.

The server work on Wednesday is still scheduled as planned.

Sorry for the inconvenience!
Hey all,

this Wednesday, I will be revamping the server's backend structure, to get rid of those random crashes that currently occur every 5-10 days.

During that time, the server (including the website) will be inaccessible, so you should turn to our Discord server for updates on the maintenance's progress.

The maintenance is scheduled to last for about 4 hours.
Hey all,

today there will be some updates focusing mainly on bugfixes and quality of life improvements across all game modes.

These changes are now live.

Mythic Survival v1.6.1
  • Fixed a bug causing players to always cap at their special item loot increase. Loot boost is now handled correctly once again, with normal players capping at 50%, VIP at 100%, MASTER at 250% and ELITE at 400%.
  • Bounty & Loot Boost are now displayed in the score board.
  • Some sources of special items now have a minimum rarity applied to them, as opposed to a flat rarity increase. This includes but isn't limited to bosses and loot boxes. See the end of this post for details.
  • Herobrine's Sword no longer has the "Sweeping Edge V" enchantment applied to it, as it became useless in v1.6.0 (this only affects newly looted copies of the item, previous ones will remain unchanged)
Dungeons v1.6.2
  • The shop now includes all dyed variants of wool, which were previously uncraftable.
  • The scoreboard has been adapted to be in line with that of the other game modes, now also displaying honor and credits.
  • The /help menu has been tweaked a little, to better separate attack commands from building commands.
  • The help manual has been changed to correctly reflect the changes made in v1.6.0, specifically those related to trophies.
  • Player heads are now a premium-only feature.
General Changes
  • Fixed a bug that would cause the scoreboard to flicker occasionally when changes to honor or credits would happen.
  • Revamped the scoreboard look to occupy less screen space and be more readable.
  • All store items can now be accessed in-game via a gui, by using the /store command. Note that this will only list items relevant to the...
It's finally happening, I have internet now!

No longer will I have to hold myself back from smashing my technology because my mobile internet decided to stop working!

And the best part: Now I'm finally able to pour all my heart into the servers once again, with regular updates & all that jazz. Stay tuned!
